Food Sensitivities

Part 3 of 3

By the way, before I continue, these blood tests were done on our dogs, the problems, if any, were determined and the protocol has been followed. Our dogs that exhibited clinical signs or had even been diagnosed with a catastrophic disease, have had NO further problems.  Rex’s sister Millie, who had hemolytic anemia, has not shown any signs of the anemia and acts like a puppy again. Some of our other babies starting to manifest symptoms of disease have been tested are on the protocol and doing very well THANK YOU.

Thanks to Dr Plechner, they are all doing fine now.  A lack of understanding, knowledge and vision by today’s medical establishment, who didn’t have a clue, doomed them in today’s world. All the vet’s could see was the symptoms and effects, there was no attempt to determine the cause.

You need to consider any chronic disease that continues to occur in your dog as a possible hormone antibody imbalance.

A red line on the gums where the enamel joins the gum, called a gingival flare, is a definite indication. This does not occur as often in dogs as it does in cats.
Any chronic disease may indicate this imbalance.

Chronic parasites, ear mites, skin problems, food sensitivities, idiopathic epilepsy, auto-immunity and cancer all relate to this endocrine immune imbalance referred to as Plechner’s Syndrome.  For more information please contact the HPN website.

You must realize that food sensitivities may only occur secondarily to Plechner’s Syndrome, which is a hormonal antibody defect. If this syndrome is damaged and uncontrolled, eventually the patient will develop food sensitivities to all food. What are you going to do now?

When you or your pet have developed food sensitivities, you may be instructed by your healthcare professional, for you or your, pet, to use a different food.

Over the years and particularly now a days, dog food manufacturers have made claims that they have produced a hypoallergenic dog food. How do they really know this? They really don’t know this. It realistically is more of a sales gimmick than an actual solution.

Over the years, I created the first non-meat commercial foods for pets in the world. After studying a pediatric elimination diet created by a prominent pediatrician, Dr. Alfred Rowe, I formulated a lamb and rice diet for animals especially for those animals that had food sensitivities and needed a hypoallergenic dog food that they could maintain good health without suffering from food allergies. This hypoallergenic dog food seemed to work for 10 years or so until the dogs began to react to the lamb and or the rice.

There has been a tremendous amount of research and studies done on dog allergies and their effects on different systems in the body. The main direction for the treatment of dog allergies lies with the identification of specific allergens that occur through inhalation and ingestion. If the dog allergies affect mainly the skin, often extensive intra dermal testing is performed to identify various inhalant allergens that may be effecting the skin sensitivity. Unfortunately this procedure is quite costly and does not identify the cause of why the dog has developed these allergies.

Dog allergies that also can cause skin sensitivities can be created by specific foods that are ingested by the dog. The blood tests that are done to identify the food or foods causing dog allergies are expensive and in my opinion highly in accurate. A food elimination diet is much more accurate and easily performed at home. Please see the article on Food Sensitivities.
