Quality Nutrition and your Pets Health and Well Being Part II

Part 2 of 3

As I have grown and matured, my discernment skills have become remarkably keen but it wasn’t always this way. I learned that by and large many of the pets I have loved dearly through the years would have lived longer lives if I just would have known and had obtained the necessary but simple knowledge. Well, a few years ago my little buddy and close companion Rex, an 8 year old Shih Tzu , became very sick. He was very lethargic and started to lose his eye sight.

Of course the Veterinarians didn’t know what was wrong and after many tests, large vet bills and visits to specialists, Rex went blind, diagnosed with SARDS (Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration Syndrome) It was just after this that through a recommendation, I met Dr Plechner.

He helped me with Rex and several other of our babies who started to manifest some major problems. We have a number of rescues but we also have a fairly large family of Shih Tzu’s who are (were!) susceptible. Before Rex’s situation developed, Rex’s sister Millie developed Hemolytic anemia and nearly died. His brother Johnnie did die from a tumor on his heart. Their brother Patch has suffered from Allergies most of his life and another Shih Tzu, Sarah has had liver problems for several years. Another loved one Bear dog (not a Shih Tzu) died of cancer. It was a very very bad year but a turning point in my knowledge and actions.

Dr plechner, who I DO consider one of the Great men of our time, taught me about a hormonal imbalance that is caused by a problem with the adrenal glands which control the immune system. He showed me how a simple, hormonal specific diagnostic blood test can determine the nature of the imbalance and how the treatment protocol corrects this hormone imbalance and that once the endocrine system is back in balance, the immune system kicks in and all the disease symptoms disappear.

Dr Plechner’s successful treatment program has helped well over 150,000 dogs, cats, horses and people. These were patients, not only at his animal hospital, but in healthcare facilities throughout the world. The Plechner Protocol has also shown a very pronounced effect on not only treatment of Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) feline equivalent of HIV, but also Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) and Feline Leukemia (FELV). These cats were all clinically ill and positive for their specific virus. Cats with FIV and FIP achieve a 70 % recovery, while cats with FELV have an 85 % recovery if proper hormone therapy has been applied.

In the coming months, this imbalance and the subsequent test and treatment protocol will be discussed in great depth as it is central to the core of all we teach and will go along way in helping you with your pets health. There is a ton of information on the www.healthypetnetwork.org website, but for now, I want to bring this back to the purpose of this post which is nutrition. Nutrition is just one component of “Whole” animal health but a very important one.

By the way, before I continue, these blood test were done on our dogs, the problems were determined and the protocol has been followed and even though Rex remained blind he acts very normal, is very happy and is his old perky self. His sister Millie has not shown any signs of the anemia and acts like a puppy again. some of our other babies starting to manifest symptoms of diseases have been tested are on the protocol and doing very well THANK YOU.
