HIV and AIDS

by Terry on November 24, 2009

By Alfred J. Plechner, D.V.M.

This HIV virus is very similar to the FIV virus in that it appears that both viruses effect patients in a similar manner. This can be overcome in 70 % of cases involving cats and it may also apply to patients with aids.

It has been proven that a certain immune cell is responsible for protecting the body against viruses and fungi. This cell is called a T cell which is programmed through the thymus.

HAVE YOU EVER EXPRIECED A DOG OR CAT WITH RAGE?

by Terry on November 22, 2009

What is rage? This can be a sudden personality change that can cause a reasonable pet to become vicious to their owners and other animals in the house.

The condition often is unpredictable but after a one time rage, they can be a hazard to everyone around them.

ANTI-AGING

by Terry on November 16, 2009

Supplements, good nutrition, and exercise are extremely important in slowing down the aging process, but no more important than are the homogeneity of the endocrine system, and its regulation of the immune cells, which hopefully will protect the body as it relates to anti-aging.

When an imbalance occurs between natural, active cortisol, and total estrogen, not only are the thyroid hormones bound, but a total, slow down of metabolism can occur. When this happens, breakdown products, toxins etc, are not decreased or properly broken down within a 24 hour period, but remain in the body, to kill vital cells needed for healthy maintenance of the body. This is where aging and not anti-aging begins.

HOW DO YOU PERFORM A FOOD ELIMINATION DIET?

by Terry on November 14, 2009

You need to begin with a simple combination of a protein and a carbohydrate. This is what I did when I created the Innovative Veterinary diets several years ago which consisted of the proteins duck venison, lamb, rabbit and fish.
